About ILTP

The Institute of Lacanian Theory and Practice

ILTP is a Swedish non-profit association of psychotherapists developing and implementing Lacanian psychoanalytic theory and ego-structuring psychotherapy.

One implementation is the cognitive development of the personality through ego-structuring psychotherapy for schizophrenia and other psychoses, borderline personality disorders and stuck crises.

ILTP arranges conferences for its members twice a year in order to exchange experiences and develop the psychotherapeutic method. The association also arranges public conferences.

ILTP publishes writings about theory, method and research, most of which are available online at: www.jagstrukturerande.se

ILTP organizes training and supervision in ego-structuring psychotherapy and in ego-structuring interpersonal approach.

ILTP's members are employed in public healthcare or as private psychotherapists. They founded this non-profit association to deepen the understanding of theory and practice in psychotherapy with the most mentally disturbed fellow beings.

ILTP has a parallel association in Denmark - Dansk Forening for Jegstrukturerende Psykoterapi - where youth-psychiatry has also effectively used psychotherapeutic findings.
