Ego-structuring psychotherapy

Ego-structuring psychotherapy is a cognitive psychotherapeutic method with unique possibilities to develop structure for a deficient ego by the development of a non-oedipal structured ego.

The method, which is based on Jacques Lacan's development of the psycho-analytic theory, has been elaborated by psychiatrist, psychotherapist and supervisor Palle Villemoes (1937-2004) Sweden. His colleagues continue to develop the implementation of the method.

The method is based on clinical experiences and deep
understanding of people with psychosis and borderline personality disorders. The strength of the method is its anchoring in the psychoanalytic theory and its systematic description of the psychotherapeutic process, from the beginning of the psychotherapy to its ending.

Ego-structuring psychotherapy is very effective, as it requires a relatively short time.
